Denise of Auntie’s Attic Quilt Shop, Niagara Falls, New York and Marie of Marie’s Sewing Center, Lockport and Eden, New York (two shops) got together with Designer Susan Rooney and came up with this original design. Eight shops worked together coordinating their rows – fabric and designs that were specific to the region their shops were located in. For instance, if the shop was in farm country, they might chose to include a tractor or a ‘field’.
The shop owners met and agreed that their row would share three background colors to be included in their kits. Of course, free patterns at each shop will available if you want to use your own fabrics. Denise told me that there are three separate patterns – what she calls ‘bonus patterns’ that can be purchased to complete the quilt blocks so that the quilt you make will look like this one.
