My favorite rows are when shops work together to make a whole quilt using 8 rows. Vegetable garden or rows of herbs would be excellent options

Please encourage pieced blocks. The appliqué is taking over. I didn’t even participate last year.

I only like blocks that are relative to the shop's location. If I am traveling to get blocks/rows, I want something to show where I was. Show off local scenery or landmarks. My top each year is my 'scrapbook' of my travels that summer. I didn't collect a single one last year because the only shops in areas I visited that had a block that showed off the local region were not rows, they were odd shapes that didn't fit into row layouts without trying to re-design other shops' layout.

As I've commented on other row by row pages, I would go with regional fare: carnival food, picnics, barbecue, chocolate (since Hershey is based there), Philly cheese steaks, etc.

All foods that are unique to you

Not terribly excited about seeing food in rows. I would be excited over a black shadow of a farmer, farm equipment, old time farming in front of a sunrise/sunset background. I'd love to see beautiful herbs and botanicals. The progression of nature from seed, to seedling, to flower bud, to burgeoning fruit or vegetable. I could see a bookshelf quilt with rows of canned foods, crates of potatoes and onions, cookbooks. I'd love a whole quilt reminiscent of a 1950s kitchen. Black and white checkered tile, old fashioned baby blue stove, polka dot apron, sunny curtains, retro fridge.

I think of various teas- tea pot and cookies.

Not on this year’s subject, but 1 row per phrase of “America the Beautiful”. Spacious skies, amber waves if grain. Purple mtn majesties, etc.

thinking about seasonal experiences that go hand-in-hand with food. summertime picnics/bbqs, carnivals/funnel cake, beach trips/ice cream on the boardwalk. fall cider/apple festivals, halloween candy, thanksgiving dinner, christmas cookies, valentine's candy

Please consider some pieced blocks. I'm not always a fan of applique yet that's what a majority of shops seem to have. I like to mix it up and have some pieced and some applique. The theme lends itself to using fussy-cut food fabric in a pieced block design. I like the mix of sizes available - made planning the layout a bit easier this year.

More piecing and not as much appliqué

I love the idea of pieced blocks.....too much applique over the last 2 years so the Row by Row took a back seat for a lot of us!

Regional wines!

Birds at a feeder, grilling, food that is know as local favorites or a ice cream truck. A dounut row or cupcake row

I live in Lancaster County, PA and the Amish are a huge part of living here, there should be some food fabrics involved that include things like fried chicken, corn and pretzels, things you find all over this area, maybe done in a traditional pattern to represent the Amish.

Our local brew pubs and wineries have food trucks on weekends. So I’m thinking of wine, beers and food trucks

Regional foods!

I like the traditional 9 X 36 rows. And the theme makes me think of a smorgasbord with lots of food.

Cupcakes and tea.

Mountain picnics. Wheat on the plains. Outdoor experiences

Wine and cheese

Shelly, that sounds like wonderful ideas for a Taste theme.

I was thinking maybe a coffee shop with bake goods would be neat to see. Or maybe even stuff you might find in a bakery

Wine and cheese - agree with others, more pieced blocks and less appliqué.

Coffee
