Good scissors, Netflix and my favorite seam ripper

Um.., a cooperative sewing machine, coffee and George Clooney to iron the seams.

Wine, a cooperative sewing machine, and full bobbins.

Someone watching/entertaining my girls, a drink (most likely coffee), Pandora or a good audiobook.

Time energy motivation

Fabric, music, and no interruptions.

day off, no one home, good music

Music, beverage and a full bobbin.

Machine, lots of fabric, and thread.

Do not have Netflix, but I turn the tv on to cooking shows.

Love your comments! I want to add when I am up for the challenge! Making a queen size quilt. So my 3 things are gumption, music, and cooperative sewing machine!

Gremlin repellent, coffee, engaging project.

Coffee or ice tea (in a sippy cup you can guess why!), seam ripper and Lucy the cat. Don't need music because the rooster has MUCH to say.

Bobbins already wound with the right color thread, every season of Downton Abbey on DVD, my insulated water glass full of ice. Ready, set, sew!

Good scissors, fun fabric, music. Oh and time to be there.

Beatles, seam ripper, and a closed door!

I don’t see I’d need Jeri Lloyd there so I could visit with her while she sees.

Starbucks salted carmel frappuccino wirh 3 shots of expresso, good lighting and golden oldies station.

My cats, good music and a soft drink.

My Bernina, a project , and Netflix

Bernina, Ghingers, plenty of fabric!

Sewing machine, music and wine!

Dr Pepper, chocolate and enough supplies

Fabric, Seamstress and Tailor.😜

quiet, pattern cut out and green ice tea

TV, puppies and a seam ripper

How cool is this?

Great Big Story
Your blue jeans don't hold a flame to Japanese indigo. The true blue dye makes clothes fire resistant, bacteria resistant, and was once worn under the armor of samurai.

Wow thats really good. I sometimes rip more than i stitch. Just learning

It’s called “reverse sewing.”

I practiced auto buttonholes today and used my seam ripper to open them up !

Well, I broke mine the other day. It must have been a hint.

True story!!

we call it frogging - rip it rip it rip it

My Berninas do: the 440 is Crockett, the 550 is Tubbs, the 580 is Gina, the 770 is Marty, and then the Bernette is Sonny. Yes, there is an ‘80s theme going on.😉🌴

It has a couple and it all depends on how well it is sewing which one I use

Hmm if it were named the feeling I have when I see it, “ yay!”

I received a 1951 (the year I was born) Featherweight for Christmas and named her Eunice. The first person to ever teach me to sew was my 9th grade home economics teacher, Eunice Fowler. My other machine is named Ora after my Aunt Ora who was a wonderful seamstress and I pray this is where I get my love of all things with a needle and thread. 🤗

My longarm is L. B. Use your imagination

No Kemosabe, sewing machine no ‘have name’

My Gammill is named Oscar bc he is green and for a long time very grumpy with me.

Agnes

My elna was my baby. My new Bernette is my dream machine.

Janome? Not very original, huh?

Lydia

Yup. Miss Kitty.

Lonely.

No.

How often do you change your sewing machine needle? This was taken from the Schmetz Needle website.
Think a needle lasts forever? Take a look at this used needle. On the left with our naked eye the needle point looks sharp. Now magnify that same needle a 1,000 times for a close up. Look at that GIANT burr and those striations. What is this needle going to do to your fabrics and thread? . . . . Shred or break threads, skip stitches, damage fabrics, create uneven stitches and your sewing machine sounds “funny”. The solution is so easy and cost effective: Change Your Needle!

I always change the needle on a machine when it comes in. One less thing that can go wrong.
