An interesting project, (almost anything), no one home, all of the components.

TV with my shows recorded, snack, closed door to keep the cats out. Ready to spend the day!

A sewing machine, know how to use it, the want to sew.

I always want to be in there, no persuasion needed!

Everything is in that room, just need a drink and a bathroom break occasionally.

A bar, a good stereo and a pole dancer. I hate to sew

A plan my machine and plenty of fabric

No cooking, cleaning and know one home.

No phone, no clock, locked door.

So cool...dying indigo

Great Big Story
Your blue jeans don't hold a flame to Japanese indigo. The true blue dye makes clothes fire resistant, bacteria resistant, and was once worn under the armor of samurai.

What do you call your machine? ... See MoreSee Less

What do you call your machine?

Depends on how many times I have had to rip out a seam, or rethread the machine. The name changes day to day.

It's that time of the year again...don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour tonight before going to bed. Don't look at it as losing an hour of sleep (that's what I do) but instead look at it as gaining another hour of light coming in to your sewing room windows. ... See MoreSee Less

How often do you change your needle? This was taken from the Schmetz Needle website.
Think a needle lasts forever? Take a look at this used needle. On the left with our naked eye the needle point looks sharp. Now magnify that same needle a 1,000 times for a close up. Look at that GIANT burr and those striations. What is this needle going to do to your fabrics and thread? . . . . Shred or break threads, skip stitches, damage fabrics, create uneven stitches and your sewing machine sounds “funny”. The solution is so easy and cost effective: Change Your Needle!

I always change the needle on a machine when it comes in. One less thing that can go wrong.

About once a week, which is about 6-8 hours of actual sewing.
